One cutting-edge laser scan detector is the REDSCAN RLS-3060L. With the use of a special algorithm, it can determine the size, speed, and distance of a moving object from the detector. This allows for very reliable human detection with little false alarms.
When a vertical detection region is chosen, an invisible wall-like detection area up to 60 meters (200 feet) is created. A detection area with a maximum radius of 30 meters (100 feet) and an arc of 190 degrees is produced when the horizontal detection area option is chosen.
With four movable detecting zones and connected outputs for PTZ camera control, the RLS-3060L is an inexpensive, high-performing, sophisticated intrusion device. It offers detection systems with streamlined controls for fence lines, building security, rooftops, and small boundary zones.
